Ink Review: J. Herbin Stormy Grey

Pen: Pilot Vanishing Point w/ Custom Cursive Italic Nib.
Paper: Rhodia #18 Grid Lines

I really love dark grey inks! J. Herbin's Stormy Grey did not disappoint in that category. This is a nice saturated grey ink with some shading. The unique thing about this ink is the gold flakes that have been added to it. Adds a nice golden sheen to your writing. When I have used it this ink it seems to so up the best right after inking up a pen and toward the end of a refill. Also, long writing sessions will give you more gold sheen then taking quick notes with it. The dry time on this ink is really great on Rhodia paper compared to other grey inks I have tried. Be warned that this ink can clog up feeds but a quick twist of the converter can clear that up. I had issues with it in my Lamy Safari but no issues with my Delta Serena. I think it has something to do with how wide the nib and feed are. This is is not going to be fore everyone but I would at least give it a try, just to say you did.
