Ink Review: De Atramentis Ruby Red

Pen: Delta Serena Medium
Paper: Rhodia #18 Grid Lines, Georgia Pacific 75g, Hammermill 90g, Sustainable Earth by Staples

Thank you for reading my review of De Atramentis Ruby Red. Also, thank you bearing with me while I figure out what i'm doing here.  Enjoy!

This was a sample my wife picked up to try. She didn't like Ruby Red to much, so I thought I would finish off the sample. Ruby Red is a nice bright red and was well behaved in my Serena. Ruby Red was a great color but it's a little to  pink for me.

Here are some thoughts:
  • Flow: Great!
  • Saturation: Bright and Lively.
  • Shading: None
  • Dry Time: Dry time was awesome on all papers.
  • Show-through and Feathering: I had feathering and bleed through with the Georgia-Pacific paper. Some feathering with the Staples Sustainable Earth paper. The Hammermill and Rhodia papers worked great with this ink.
  • Waterproofness: Mostly waterproof!
